A Sunday or two ago, I decided to catch some rays and make the most of what seemed like a very gorgeous day. I didn’t have much planned, but I thought it best to maximise the moment and got dressed up and ready for my day.
I have been dying to wear this outfit and I guess that Sunday the weather and my outfit were destined to meet. It all came together perfectly.
Last month, I purchased a fabulous black and white striped maxi skirt from Primark. It was an absolute steal I decided to pair it with a pop of colour. Most people who know me, know that I am a neutrals kind of girl and I am rarely spotted in colour. That day all the norms were kicked out and colour got, THE GREEN LIGHT! literally.
I paired my striped pleated maxi skirt with a green crop top from Unique 21, a necklace from New Look and some black gladiator sandals from River Island.I kept earrings understated, with just some pearl studs, as I wanted the necklace to be the star of the show. I wore a gem studded spiked necklace which I paired with a black and gold clutch.
Top: Unique 21, Skirt: Primark, Shoes: River Island
Accessories: Earrings: Primark, Necklace: New Look,
Clutch: Dorothy Perkins, Sunglasses: New Look
The obvious choice was a neutral eye look, but I decided to go BOLD!. This is something I wouldn’t dream of putting on myself, however I was feeling inspired and decided to just go with it.
Here’s what I products I used to create this look:
Foundation: MAC Matchmaster 8.5
Contour & Highlight: Sleek Contour Kit – Dark
Blush: Sleek Demerera – Blush by 3 Palette
Eyes: Urban Decay Primer Potion, KIKO Green & Gold Eyeshadows plus a dark brown for transitioning
Eyebrows: Sleek Brow Kit – Dark
Liner: Make Up Academy Black Pencil for waterline, NYC liquid Liner for winged effect
Lips: Topshop Rutheless Lipstick & NYX liquid lingerie – Birthmark
So how did I do?
